Blending elegance with empowerment, Selena is not just a skilled programmer and educator — she’s a mentor, entrepreneur, and style icon who’s helping hundreds of women enter the world of technology with confidence, skill, and vision.
Selena’s journey didn’t begin in a lab or startup accelerator. It began in the fashion studios of Ewha Womans University, where she earned her degree in Fashion Design. Her early career was rooted in style — working as a brand stylist for Korean luxury labels and consulting on visual campaigns.

But her path took an unexpected turn when she joined a tech startup in the fashion space. Curious and captivated, she began learning the basics of coding — starting with HTML and CSS — after hours, on her own. What started as curiosity became obsession, and soon, Selena was building full-scale websites, studying JavaScript and UX design, and dreaming of something bigger.
What Selena realized early on was this: if she could learn to code, other women could too — if they had the right support.
That’s when she founded CodeHer Seoul, a female-led coding collective designed to teach programming in a safe, supportive, and stylish environment. What began as small meetups in coffee shops quickly evolved into a full-fledged educational platform, with in-person workshops, online bootcamps, and personal mentorship sessions.
The goal? Equip women not only with technical skills but with the mindset to lead, create, and thrive in the tech world.
“Teaching women to code isn’t just about tech,” Selena says. “It’s about showing them they belong in every room — especially the ones they were told were off-limits.”
Selena’s efforts haven’t gone unnoticed. In 2024, she was named one of Forbes Korea’s 30 Under 30 in the education and tech category. CodeHer Seoul has partnered with Google for Startups, and Selena has spoken on international stages at events like TEDxSeoul, Women in Tech Global Summit, and the Asia-Pacific EdTech Forum.
Her unique blend of technical education, community building, and stylish leadership has inspired similar programs in Vietnam, Thailand, and even Latin America — proving that Selena’s vision transcends borders.
One of Selena’s most distinct trademarks is her style. She believes that being in tech doesn’t mean giving up femininity. On the contrary, she uses fashion as a way to reclaim presence, communicate leadership, and challenge stereotypes.

With over 300K followers across Instagram and YouTube, she shares everything from code snippets and productivity hacks to office looks and skincare tips — reminding women they can be brilliant and beautiful, technical and trendy.
Selena’s current focus is developing a gamified learning app for girls aged 12–18. The app combines coding challenges with personal growth missions, encouraging young users to explore logic, leadership, and creativity from an early age.
She’s also writing her first book, titled:“Code & Conquer: A Guide for the Next Generation of Digital Women.”
It’s part memoir, part guidebook — and 100% Selena: smart, stylish, and full of purpose.
